Riding Together for Peace
The European Peace Ride is far more than just a sporting challenge. The focus is not on competition, but on togetherness. 250 riders set off side by side, stay together in a closed peloton, and cross the finish line as one. Each stage demands a lot: around 200 kilometers of distance and approximately 2,500 meters of elevation gain are to be conquered – at an average speed of 28 km/h. These demands make it clear that teamwork, perseverance, and mutual support are paramount here. It is only through riding together, encouraging and helping each other, that the special atmosphere that characterizes the Peace Ride is created.
