The Salzkammergut-Trophy 2025 has once again shown why it is one of Europe's most renowned and popular mountain bike events. With fantastic weather, over 4000 mountain bikers from 38 nations made their way to Bad Goisern to experience a first-class race weekend together.
Bright sunshine and pleasant temperatures, perfect track conditions and peak athletic performance characterized the 28th edition of the Salzkammergut Mountainbike Trophy. From July 11th to 13th, the Dachstein-Salzkammergut holiday region once again became a mecca for the mountain bike and gravel bike scene. Over 4000 participants from 38 nations enjoyed a weekend that could hardly have gone better – both athletically and atmospherically.
The main competition was again the marathon on Saturday with ten different routes for mountain and gravel bikers. Around 3600 starters took on the challenges of 22 to 204 kilometers. On the notorious extreme distance with over 7000 meters of elevation, there were new faces on the top step of the podium – Manuel Pliem from Altaussee (Styria) finished in a top time of 9:09:18 hours. Theresa Rindler-Bachl from Hallein (Salzburg) shone with a winning time of 11:38:06 hours.
SPORTaktiv was right in the middle of it again. Our DOWE-SPORTaktiv team is also a tradition at the Trophy. Almost 50 bikers joined us this year – and together achieved second place in the Slow Motion ranking. DOWE contributed its "CarbonPro" jersey in the SPORTaktiv team design for everyone. Chiba, Ballistol bike care products, and a drink and catering package from the sports nutrition specialist Powerbar were also provided as a reward. Gerhard Lehner was there for the sixth time – and also consistently placed 1st or 2nd in his age group in all his starts
