Extensive studies in the field of electrostatic discharge (ESD) have shown that controlling static electricity and variable electric fields is relevant in all types of environments. The human body is affected by these natural phenomena.

Numerous tests were conducted in collaboration with Dr. David Susta, the scientific director of the Training Development Center in Como. These tests compared the Resistex® Carbon jersey with other polyester jerseys worn by a group of athletes during training in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment. Athletes wearing Resistex® Carbon showed a temperature reduction of up to three degrees Celsius.
Respiratory parameters were better for individuals wearing Resistex® Carbon. These athletes had a reduced oxygen requirement of 3 liters per minute, which improved their respiratory quotient. The heart rate of athletes wearing Resistex® Carbon was lower by 4 beats per minute compared to others. Over a 4-hour run, this equates to approximately 1,000 fewer heartbeats. Additionally, lactic acid concentration in capillary blood was measured, revealing about 12% less acid in the athletes wearing Resistex® Carbon.
It has been demonstrated that Resistex® Carbon increases the efficiency of technical sportswear and enhances the athlete’s muscle performance. Resistex® Carbon delivers high performance, especially in disciplines that require prolonged physical exertion over time and in high ambient temperatures.
The athlete’s performance, measured as a percentage of metabolic energy that the muscular system can convert into mechanical energy, remains consistent and even tends to improve during a 30-minute effort with the Resistex® Carbon shirt. Specifically, a performance level of 24.68% is observed after 15 minutes compared to 24.93% after 30 minutes.
In contrast, wearing a polyester jersey tends to result in decreased performance over time during training. Resistex® Carbon therefore delays the onset of fatigue during exercise.
