24 hours. 160.4 kilometers. Countless emotions.

The 24-hour race in Bad Blumau 2026 was much more than just a competition for me. It was a race against time, against exhaustion, and repeatedly against my own mind. With summer heat during the day and temperatures of only around 13 °C at night, the conditions were anything but easy.

From the start, I ran my own race. Without haste, without risk – lap after lap, hour after hour. With each lap, I was able to move further forward and fight my way up to 3rd place in my age group, bit by bit. Additionally, I was also pleased to secure 3rd place in my age group at the Austrian Masters. After 24 hours, the scoreboard showed 160.4 kilometers – a result that fills me with pride.

In a 24-hour race, not only physical and mental strength play a decisive role, but also the equipment.

I ran the entire race with the Dowe Sportswear functional base layer. Especially with the high temperatures, the base layer was simply a dream. It wicked away sweat excellently and ensured a comfortable feeling even after many hours. When temperatures dropped to about 13 °C at night, it continued to keep the body comfortably warm.

Above that, I wore the Carbon cycling jersey from Dowe Sportswear. The combination of the functional base layer and the Carbon jersey worked perfectly under these extreme conditions. No chafing, no uncomfortable feeling – simply clothing you can rely on even after many hours and countless kilometers. Especially in an ultra-race, such details are often crucial.

During the 24 hours, I consumed about 22 liters of fluid and burned approximately 15,000 calories. These figures show the enormous stresses on the body and material. It is all the more important to wear equipment you can trust in every situation.
