DOWE SIMPLON TEAM celebrates outstanding home race in Albstadt

One could hardly have wished for a more successful home race: At the MTB event in Albstadt, the DOWE SIMPLON TEAM impressed with numerous podium finishes, class victories, and strong performances across all age groups. In front of their home crowd, the entire team showed great commitment and was rewarded with excellent results.

The highlight of the day was set by Maxi W., who won the short distance in a new record time of 1:38 hours, impressively demonstrating his strong form.

The young talents also caused excitement: David Schempp won the U17 short-distance category and also achieved an excellent 3rd place overall. Malle secured victory in the U17 girls' category, while Hendrik Krüger completed the U17 double success with second place.

In the elite class, Niklas Scherer fought for a podium spot for a long time. Only in the last kilometers of the race did he have to give way to strong competition, finishing a strong fifth after 2:52 hours.

Defending champion Tobias Steinhart did not have an optimal day due to health problems but still fought his way across the finish line in sixth place.

Even G. Sindlinger had to grit his teeth due to a cold. After a strong first half of the race, he couldn't quite keep up with the high pace and finished the race after 3:14 hours.

Tobias Sindlinger once again demonstrated his many years of experience in mountain bike racing and achieved a solid 41st place despite a training deficit.

Florian Fink lost touch with the leading group early on but impressively fought his way back together with his RSG teammate Thommy. In the end, he secured 13th place in the overall standings and the title of Albstadt Champion.

Team manager Berni Sindi also impressed with a strong 32nd place in the Masters 4 class, underlining his ambitions for the German Championships.

Further highlights were provided by the RSG youth: Jonathan Bilger and Felix won the Sparkasse Zollernalb Kids-Cup in the U13 and U15 categories respectively, rounding off a thoroughly successful race weekend.

Special congratulations also go to our club colleague Marek Sülzle, who celebrated a convincing victory with an impressive solo ride of 75 kilometers in Pogačar style.

The home race in Albstadt was a complete success for the DOWE SIMPLON TEAM. Numerous victories, podium finishes, and strong individual performances show that the intensive preparation has paid off. With this momentum, the team looks forward to the upcoming races of the season with great motivation.
