for Team Dowe Simplon
Alb-Gold Juniors-Cup in Neckartenzlingen
At this year's Alb-Gold Juniors-Cup, which also served as the Baden-Württemberg state championship for age group U13 and above, the Dowe Simplon team from RSG Zollern-Alb once again impressively demonstrated its strength. Under excellent conditions and bright autumn weather, the young riders achieved a successful conclusion to an overall more than satisfactory season.
In the U15 female category, Marlene Bilger impressed with a strong performance, securing second place. This crowned a consistent season with another podium finish. In the U17 male category, the team also performed exceptionally well: David Schempp finished third after an exciting race, followed by Hendrik Krüger, who crossed the finish line in sixth place. Maximilian Wagenstetter unfortunately had bad luck – two flat tires prevented him from finishing, forcing him to withdraw from the race prematurely.
The team and coaches were completely satisfied with the performance of their protégés: "It was a great end to the season in the best weather. Overall, we can be more than satisfied with the entire season and its conclusion," concluded the support team.
Now, the young riders of the Albstadt junior squad will begin a well-deserved training break before preparations for the 2026 season start in early November. With the performances shown, Team Dowe Simplon can look optimistically towards the upcoming season.
