Young Riders Shine at MTB Classic
A total of 225 male and female riders participated in the MTB Classic in Albstadt last weekend (September 20/21). It was an ideal opportunity for young talents from the region to gain valuable competition experience.
In Tailfingen's Bullentäle, the Albstadt MTB Classic 2025 offered exciting races and a big stage for young talents as well as experienced athletes. Participants in age groups U9 to U17 engaged in thrilling duels for times and rankings.
Team Dowe Simplon also delivered strong performances:

David Schempp achieved a strong sixth place in the slalom and finished 15th in the cross-country race.

Hendrik Krüger finished eleventh in the slalom and 31st in the race.

Marlene Bilger (U15) impressed with eighth place in the slalom and an excellent seventh place in the race.
Broad Foundation for the Future
The RSG Zollern-Alb/RSG-Dowe-Team sent numerous young riders into the race and presented itself to be on a good development path overall – even if the very top placements were still absent in some classes. "For many young riders, the weekend was an important opportunity to gain experience and gauge themselves in regional comparison," emphasized co-organizer Bernard Mast-Sindlinger, who was responsible for the event's execution alongside Frank Durst.
