This year, too, students of industrial engineering from the Friedrichshafen campus of DHBW Ravensburg, with their e2rad team, organised an e-bike tour – and collected technical data in the process. The destination for 2026 was Budapest. After nine days, 1,068 kilometres, and crossing several national borders, the cyclists reached their goal.
This year, the e2rad team's journey took them through Germany, Austria, and Hungary – with a short detour through Slovakia. In total, the group covered exactly 1,068 kilometres and overcame several thousand metres in altitude. The daily strain of stages mostly over 100 kilometres demanded a lot of discipline, endurance, and mental strength from the participants.
On May 1st, they arrived in the Hungarian capital, Budapest. The view from the Citadel over the Danube and the impressive Parliament building marked the emotional highlight and a fitting conclusion to their athletic achievement.
