In the second race of the ALB-GOLD Juniors-Cup in Reudern, the Dowe Simplon team of RSG Zollern-Alb once again showed strong form. On the fast and technical course, the junior riders in the U17 classes secured three podium finishes. The ALB-GOLD Juniors-Cup is one of the largest mountain bike junior race series in Southern Germany and offers attractive competition opportunities for children and young people up to U19.
The short track competition (XCC) was particularly exciting, characterized by its short race duration, high intensity, and numerous position battles. On the compact circuit, explosive starts, tactical skill, and good positioning are crucial. Due to the short distance, the field of riders usually stays close together, so decisions often come down to the last few meters.
In the U17 men's category, David Schempp showed a strong race and secured second place in the final sprint. Hendrik Krüger unfortunately had a slight disadvantage in the final sprint and finished 3rd, completing the team's double success on the podium.
The RSG Zollern-Alb also celebrated a podium finish in the U17 girls' category. Marlene Bilger asserted herself against strong competition and finished third, also making it to the winners' podium.
