Extensive studies in the field of electrostatic discharge (ESD) have shown that the problem of controlling static electricity and variable electric fields applies to any type of environment. The human organism is affected by these natural phenomena. In fact, the electric charges distributed in our body are responsible for numerous adverse effects. Resistex® Carbon prevents the dissipation of electrical charges to the body, thus preventing muscle twitches, cramps and fatigue. Carbon improves the electrical performance of the human body by stimulating blood circulation and supplying cells with regular oxygen. The properties of highly conductive Resistex® Carbon also make it possible to improve the distribution of moisture and promote perspiration evaporation. The less moisture comes into contact with the skin, the greater the feeling of well-being.

Tests

Numerous tests were carried out in collaboration with Dr. David Susta, the scientific director of the Centre for the Development of Training in Como. The tests compared the Resistex® Carbon jersey with other polyester jerseys worn by a group of athletes during training in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. The athletes wearing Resistex® Carbon had a temperature three tin temperatures lower. Breathing parameters were better for people wearing Resistex® Carbon. For these athletes the oxygen demand was reduced by 3 litres / minute, which improved the respiratory quotient. The heart rate of athletes wearing Resistex® Carbon was less than 4 bpm compared to the others. In a 4-hour run this means about 1,000 heartbeats less. Lactic acid concentration in capillary blood was also measured, resulting in about 12% less acidity in the athletes wearing Resistex® Carbon.

It is shown that Resistex® Carbon increases the efficiency of technical sportswear and the muscle performance of the athlete. Resistex® Carbon is a high performance material, especially in disciplines that require prolonged physical effort over time and in high ambient temperatures. The athlete’s performance, expressed as a percentage of the metabolic energy that the muscle system can convert into mechanical energy, remains constant and even tends to grow during the 30 minute effort with the Resistex® Carbon shirt. In particular, a performance of 24.68% is observed after 15 minutes compared to 24.93% after 30 minutes. If you wear a polyester jersey instead, performance tends to decrease over time during the workout. Resistex® Carbon thus delays the onset of fatigue during training.
